Brock Erickson (b. 1958, Wilmington, Delaware)

Brock Erickson grew up in Stow, Ohio, and during high school was a member of several all-Ohio bands as a flute and piccolo player.  He attended Kent State University, where he studied flute with Raymond DeMattia. After receiving his Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 1980, he studied composition and music theory with Donald Keats and Robert D. Penn at the University of Denver. His experience in collegiate ensembles included jazz ensemble, marching band, wind ensemble, choir, orchestra, and chamber groups.

Following college, Mr. Erickson worked for more than fifteen years as a computer programmer, and then served as executive director of the American Recorder Society. He is currently the executive director of St.  Martin's Chamber Choir and has been a singer in the choir since 1996.  His compositions and arrangements include works for choir, marching band, electronic media, and various chamber ensembles.
