Upcoming St. Martin's Chamber Choir Special Events “Requiem for a King”:
Two groups named “Ensemble of the Year” by the Denver Post, the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado (2010) and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir (2009), join forces for a rare performance of an exquisite setting of the timeless Requiem text by 17th-century composer Jean Gilles. In addition to this now-rarely-heard work, the program consists of two other French Baroque works, an unusually stylized a cappella mass by Henri Hardouin, Missa Jucundum sit, and the delightful incidental music written by Jean-Baptiste Lully for Molière's satirical play Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme. One Performance only,
Friday, Mar. 2, 7:30 p.m. Tickets:
