With its mystical Medieval texts, Benjamin Britten’s (1913-1976) beloved “Ceremony of Carols” for voices and harp will be the centerpiece of a concert featuring the best of “Olde English” Yuletide cheer, from modern arrangements of lusty tunes like the Gloucestershire Wassail and the Boar’s Head Carol, to more restrained and subdued gems more likely to have been heard on a cold Tudor Christmas Eve in a cathedral, as well as some beloved familiar English carols for audience participation.
