Jack Wheeler

Jack Wheeler is a fourth generation Coloradan. A lifelong musician, he has played piano and sung since the age of 10. Jack has performed with the Colorado State University Concert Choir, the Denver Opera Collective, and Boulder Opera. He has also taught private music lessons, most recently at the Loveland Academy of Music from 2015-2018. An alumnus of Colorado State University, Jack Wheeler is trained in Spanish, Italian, Anthropology, Business, Music, and Environmental Science. He currently is a candidate for a Masters in Social Science: Society and the Environment, at the University of Colorado Denver in their interdisciplinary program. Employed as an historian and educator, he has given talks, presentations, and facilitated programs for numerous national and local organizations, including History Colorado, the National Railway Historical Society, the American Association of Geographers, the American Society for Aesthetics, the Metropolitan State University of Denver, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and Treasure Box Tours. Jack also sits on the board of directors of the Colorado Rail Passenger Association. He and his colleagues advocate for the expansion and preservation of passenger trains in and through Colorado. Although Colorado and music are his great passions, he also enjoys spending time with friends, family, and his husband Michael and their dog Lady, exploring the region and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer.
