Mackenzie Laun

Mackenzie Laun is a soprano from Denver, CO and frequently performs all along the Front Range. She frequently sings with St. Martin’s Chamber Choir and Colorado Bach Ensemble as a chorister and soloist. Mackenzie is a two-time top-ten award winner at the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition, winner of the 2026 Ann Logan Craft Competition, and winner of the 2026 Art Song Colorado Competition. Mackenzie is also a touring and teaching artist with Central City Opera, singing in both CCO’s homegrown outreach show Chiaroscuro and in CCO’s touring educational production of Earth to Kenzie. Some upcoming and recent notable credits include Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Nedda in Pagliacci, Semele in Händel’s Semele, Adele in Die Fledermaus, and soprano solos for Mozart’s Requiem, Brahms’s Requiem, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. When not singing, Mackenzie is the director of education and outreach for St. Martin’s Chamber Choir, an administrator and voice teacher for Central City Opera and their Academy, affiliate voice professor at Colorado Christian University, wife to tenor Cody Laun, and the mom of a very active 4-year-old.
