Matt LaCava, bass-baritone, is a versatile performer based in the Denver area. He has been singing since childhood, both as a soloist and in ensembles, and studied voice throughout his schooling. Though his academic degrees and primary vocation are in pastoral ministry, Matt’s lifelong passion for music has deepened over time. Praised for his warmth of tone, dynamic range, and pure intonation, he maintains a freelance career as a soloist, recording artist, and choral singer. Raised in a musical family that nurtured his gifts from an early age, Matt has a passion to encourage younger generations in their love for music and vocal performance. He loves showing young people that it’s “cool” to sing and to love music. Matt lives in Brighton with his wife, Kate—a singer and voice teacher—and their five children. Together, they enjoy a home filled with laughter, love, and plenty of music. He serves as lead pastor at Calvary Redeemer, where he seeks to combine his callings of faith, family, and artistry.
